Our guest bathroom was recently transformed by James to emulate a turn of the century, seaside cottage bathroom. A few of the design elements included: tumbled marble floor tiles with beach glass inserts, wainscoting, floating backlit mirror with nautical patterns, and a pedestal sink with a waterfall collection trough. The journey to our project completion was smooth and left us with one question: what more could one ask for from a contractor during a remodeling project? Always on time with the right materials and labor expertise. Pride of workmanship, craftsmanship, dedication displayed yet within budget. Our experience with JG Builders (from office support through to the craftsman out on the job) lived up to the solid and glowing references providd to us. Mike Z., San Jose
Dear James and Paul, Thank you so much for the wonderful job that you did on our tiny "beach cottage" bathroom. We appreciate that smaller spaces are much more challenging than larger spaces. You were very helpful in making recommendations and working with 2 "designers" with different ideas and expectations. Both of us are very happy with the outcome.. from switching the toilet and sink location, craftsmanship on the tumbled marble floor tiles with beach glass inserts (too cool!), bead board wainscot and trim, fabricating a backlit mirror and getting the entire job done so quickly and within budget. You lived up to your outstanding references! We'll have you back (as soon as we make up our minds on materials for the next project)., Patty Z., San Jose
We were thrilled with the craftsmanship of James Galleguillos Builders in a recent remodel of our master bathroom. Over the last ten years we've remodeled ten rooms in our home, and we're the most proud of the master bath. James moved through the project very methodically and gave us good suggestions along the way. He is a true professional with integrity and commitment to quality. Thank you, James, for giving us a room we continue to enjoy every day! Wes & Judy W., Scotts Valley
Thank you James! The fireplace is beautiful! We appreciate your very fine work and dependability. Paul & Susan N., Boulder Creek
...every day I appreciate the artwork that went into your tile work more and more. The alignment on the tiles in the bathroom between floor and counter and wall is masterful. It isn't something I noticed at first but the more I look at it and the more I learn about tile, the more I realize that things like planning how the tiles meet at corners makes all the difference in getting a fantastic and high quality result. I'm very pleased and I have been getting compliments from everyone who has seen the work including lots of friends, neighbors and trades people. Frank B., San Jose
Thanks James! Great working with you. I'll be referring any and all to you in the future. Shelly S., Soquel
I just wanted to drop you a note of appreciation for the fabulous job you did on our kitchen remodel this past Spring 2007. As this is now the third job for which we have hired you, we continue to appreciate your attention to detail, quality craftsmanship and sense of integrity. I was particularly pleased with your vision for our granite counters, as this was the first time you have installed granite for us. In the world of selecting a General Contractor, nothing is mor important than freeling that one's needs are being taken seriuosly, and that one is being treated honestly and fairly. You continue to set the bar high in this area. It is for this reason that I have recommended you to several friends and even my boss. I would be happy to serve as a reference for you, in case any prospective clients would like to hear first-hand how we feel that you have always treated us. You will always be our first call for any and all home improvement projects, and will serve as the only General Contractor I feel comfortable recommending to family and friends. Geoffrey M., Los Altos
James completed 4 projects for us. The first and the one that gets the most comments is our bathroom addition. Not only was it done in a timely manner but when it started raining one day, James put up a tarp and continued working. We have had many workers at our house and never has one placed a tarp when it rained, they just stopped working. Everyone who looks at the addition of the bathroom from both the outside and the inside can't tell I was added on. It's a perfect match. James has also repaired some retaining walls, added stairs down from the back deck to our creek (2). He reset the caissons on our laundry room (3), the original contractor didn't do a very good job; this was a coupple of years before James came into our lives. The most recent job he did was a remodel of our existing bathroom (4). It turned out very nice. We get many compliments on the bathroom. I was recently telling Lisa that we had another project for James. She said he was on another job, I told her, "James is worth waiting for, so we will plan on the project after the New Year 2009."
